The backcountry radio channel program was first developed and deployed in Telluride in 2016. It has helped save lives. We are modeling the program after programs in Telluride, Snoqualamie Pass, WA and the Wasatch in Utah. We plan to work with the Tahoe Backcountry Alliance(TBA) and other organizations to promote the program through their publicity efforts.
